Solarity’s president and CEO featured in Newsweek on importance of credit union collaboration
In an article published in Newsweek, Solarity’s president and CEO, Mina Worthington, discusses why it is important for credit unions to collaborate to ensure they are best serving their members and the community.
In an article titled "Credit Unions Need to Partner with Each Other. Here’s Why," Worthington writes about Solarity’s beginnings, discussing how two local credit unions merged into one. She writes, “we served the same community and were located only five blocks apart — two credit unions that considered themselves equals and whose members probably passed each other on the street.”
Worthington, an Expert Forum contributor for Newsweek, goes on to discuss the importance of keeping it all about the members and that, “forming partnerships that best serve the members takes precedence over what any individual leader believes is important.”
